RUSTON, La. - Head coach Adriano de Souza and the Louisiana Tech Volleyball program announced Tuesday that Canadian outside/middle hitter Danielle Bristow has signed her national letter of intent to join the Lady Techsters next season.

Bristow, who hails from Saskatchewan, Canada, recently wrapped up her fall season with the Guardians of St. Joseph High School. As a three-sport athlete at St. Joseph, she participated in basketball, track and ultimate frisbee in addition to starring on the volleyball court.

"We're excited about adding Danielle to our roster," de Souza said. "Bristow has had great success in both high school and club. She is a versatile six-rotation player who can play in the middle, at either pin and also back row. The most important thing is her competitive hard working character and the fact that she is a great student. We are looking forward to the positive impact she will make both on and off the court for our program."

Bristow was a member of the Principal's Honor Roll as a freshman, sophomore and junior at St. Joseph, while also earning Most Valuable Player honors twice following her junior and senior campaigns. Bristow also helped lead her club team to the Provincial Championship as a freshman in 2010.

She played under coaches Kenton Hicke (2011), Sandy Scissons (2012) and Tracey Hazen (2013) in her time with the Guardians.

Expected to graduate St. Joseph this coming spring, Bristow will enroll at Louisiana Tech and be eligible to play next fall.
